1. The autonomic nervous system has two types: the sympathetic nervous system which switches to an activity mode and the parasympathetic nervous system which relaxes the body.
2. The heart rate drops, making you feel more relaxed.

1. The cortisol hormone (stress hormone) increases when you feel stressed.
2. When the body and mind are stressed, secretion of this hormone increases rapidly.
3. It is known that the amount of cortisol decreases after a head spa treatment!
